Use case: We are building a basic article repository that accommodates data feeds from different sources via RSS/ATOM. Simple user interactions (e.g. filter/ search) are required within the repository to identify relevant articles that will be imported into Pimcore (CMS system) subsequently.
Current approach: External MySQL database and custom PHP application server to run cron jobs, to support user interactions and to serve the custom CLI script (Pimcore API) during import.
Requirements: Minimize customization inside Pimcore, leverage PHP, Keep article repository outside Pimcore
Question: Are there any good practices for this use case that include pre-existing libraries like PHP-Universal-Feed-Parser, SimpleXML etc. which in turn reduce the effort of building a custom solution?
